A Georgia family has decided to take their case to a civil courtroom to get justice for their deceased son Kendrick Johnson who was found dead in a school gymnasium under questionable circumstances. According to friends and family of the teen, his death was not an accident as a result of him allegedly falling inside of a rolled up mat upside down with his sneakers off. The family believes that he was intentionally murdered and now they want the school to be held accountable for his death as they feel more should have been done to protect their son from this heinous act of violence according to our sources.

The lawsuit filed by Kenneth and Jacquelyn Johnson alleges their son’s death was ‘at the hands of one or more students’ at Lowndes High School in Valdosta. School officials did not do enough to protect the boy, his parents claim.

Kendrick Johnson, 17, was reported missing on Jan. 10, 2013. His body was found the next day by classmates, inside a rolled-up gym mat at Lowndes High School.

Sheriff’s deputies ruled his death a freak accident, but Kenneth and Jacquelyn Johnson have maintained ever since that their son was murdered.

Surveillance cameras captured Kendrick Johnson in his high school gym in January 2013. His body was found there the next day.

The suit says that Johnson had been harassed and threatened by other students. There were reports that another teen was upset that Johnson was dating his ex-girlfriend and that might have been the reason he lost his life and not something that has been classified as a “freak accident” by the sheriff department.

It also claims school officials failed to interview classmates about those threats. The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages. Just looking at the above photo, it is very hard to believe anyone could die in that manner and not be an intentional act of murder. How does one fall in that type of position with their shoes completely wedged next to them? Is this really physically possible? There are more questions then answers and we hold the Johnson family are able to get justice for their son Kendrick. We will be following this story.
