Charlo Greene, now a former reporter for KTVA in Alaska, recently quit during a filming about the use of medical marijuana on Sunday night. Revealing that she is a pro-marijuana activist and a business owner and felt the need to stand for what was right. Stunning all of her colleagues on air, the reporter quit her job on the spot because of medical marijuana and its appearance on the ballot in the November elections.

Greene had reported on the Alaska Cannabis Club during Sunday night’s broadcast, without revealing her connection to it. At the end of the report, during a live shot, she announced that she was the club’s owner and would be quitting.
“Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska,” she said. “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f–k it, I quit.”
And with that, she walked off camera.
The former reporter is also continuing to ride her 15 minutes of fame by creating her own video to help further explain her decision to stand by law of legalizing marijuana. Check out the video below.
Later on, The Dispatch News spoke with Greene to receive an explained of the previous on-air event. “Because I wanted to draw attention to this issue. And the issue is medical marijuana. Ballot Measure 2 is a way to make medical marijuana real … most patients didn’t know the state didn’t set up the framework to get patients their medicine,” she said.
