A Los Angeles woman who was brutally beaten by a uniformed California Highway Patrol cop on the side of an interstate can breath a little easier knowing that the officer responsible will never be allowed to assault anyone else at least not as a police officer because she has settled her lawsuit with the department to the tune of 1.5 million dollars and the assurance that the cop will resign from his job. The settlement was reached after a 9-hour mediation session.

Many around the Internet saw the video of Marlene Pinnock being savagely beaten by Officer Daniel Andrew as she unsuccessfully tried to defend herself.

The video that went viral months ago shows Andrew delivering a series of MMA style punches to Pinnock’s face and body.

While the cicil matter has been settled, LA prosecutors have yet to announce their plans on making the cop criminally responsible for his behavior.
