Dee-1 unleashes the visuals for his first single, “Against Us,” to his forthcoming EP which is due out Feb 17th, 2015. In the Mr. Boomtown-directed video, the talented rapper takes viewers on an energetic ride as he tries to create peace amongst conflicting gangs. Once the New Orleans MC unifies the opposing gangs, they find out there’s even greater forces that are #AgainstUs.
As Dee-1 puts it, “We’re against anybody that’s opposed to this #MissionVision lifestyle through being real, righteous, and relevant.” In this heavy hitting Rico Beats produced record, Dee-1 wants to know if you’re for us, or #AgainstUs… as he spits,
“Lookin’ at my own people wonder if they plottin’/ Smile so bright heart so rotten / Pick you apart like cotton/ We new slaves hanging ourselves minus the noose / Ooops, I’m signed but still spit tin the truth, I got to”
