Rob Base, the world-renowned hip hop artist, will hold a memorial concert in memory of his late partner DJ E-Z Rock on New Year’s Eve.
According to the world-famous Base, “The concert is being held as a memorial and a tribute to my friend and a chance for loyal fans to remember him doing what he did best—making great music and keeping the fans happy.“
DJ E-Z Rock, who died at age 46 in April of this year, is now remembered as one of the 80’s and 90’s most enduring hip hop artists.
Famous for his platinum single “It Takes Two”, Rob Base has been cranking out incredible hits since the 1980’s. Regarded as one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s “Top 50 Hip Hop Songs Of All Time” and ranked by both VH1 and the Billboard Hot 100 List, “It Takes Two” remains as recognizable today as it was during its debut.
Base’s music has been featured in blockbuster movies including Iron Man 2 and Coyote Ugly. In addition to his albums ”Incredible Base” and ”Break of Dawn” seeing major success, Base’s music has also been featured in one of the world’s most popular video games Grand Theft Auto.
