The artwork above will serve as the cover of iLoveMakonnen’s forthcoming project, Drink More Water 5 EP. He gives us a taste of what to expect from the new work with his latest cut Super Clean. Makononnen raps over his own beat, with assistance from producer Phantom Power, & tells us how he makes a “b*itch go dumb” on this record. With lazy flows over a simple melody produced by a synthesizer, it’s very clear that this newly emerged artist is going to explore many musical avenues within his career. We go from records like Tuesday & I Don’t Sell Molly No More, which were obviously intended to be club bangers, to Down 4 So Long, which allows Makonnen to display his vocal variation, & now Super Clean.
