Atlanta based rapper, Shawty Lo, held a photo shoot last week to support his new mixtape, King of Bankhead (K.O.B).
The mixtape features his new hit single “Streetz” and is available for download via livemixtapes.com. The 17-track mixtape features several big name artist including MMG rapper Rick Ross, Young Thug, Lil Boosie, Rich Homie Quan, and Young Scooter.
At the photo shoot, L-O discussed his new deal with 300 Record and the joint partnership with his label D4L Records and Grown Money Entertainment. By releasing K.O.B, Shawty Lo continues to push his style of Atlanta street music over classic, bass heavy dirty south beats by DJ Scream, DJ Swamp Izzo, and more.
“To be honest with you I really ain’t no rapper. Really I’m just a dude from the streets. I tell my story and the things I’ve done in my past over beats,” said Shawty Lo. “You know I have been through so much in my life coming from that jungle Bankhead project homes, that’s where I’m from. That’s what people like to hear the real and its so much fake rap out. I ain’t knocking nobody. I can’t tell a hustler how to feed his family but the deal is, when it comes to the things I have done that’s why I have my own lane.”
