Waka Flocka has decided to officially cancel his scheduled performance at Oklahoma University. A horrific video leaked featuring members of the SAE fraternity singing a very racist chant. Waka made his announcement on his Instagram, saying that he is truly disgusted at with the video.
“SMFH.. I know for a fact the school and SAE don’t agree with those kids actions so know that I’m not madd at the whole #SAE just those disgusting kids!!!!!! #WFF We can’t change history but we damn sure can create our own future #DeathToRacism…..” said Waka.
While the school and main chapter of the fraternity continue to do damage control, protests have already taken over the campus. Brad Cohen, the national president of SigmaAlpha Epsilon, wrote an online statement apologizing for the behavior in the video.
“We apologize for the unacceptable and racist behavior of the individuals in the video, and we are disgusted that any member would act in such a way. Furthermore, we are embarrassed by this video and offer our empathy not only to anyone outside the organization who is offended but also to our brothers who come from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities,” Sigma Alpha Epsilon wrote in an online statement.
