What happens when you do not want Kanye West to headline the biggest festival in the world known as Glastonbury? Start a petition. That is exactly what is going on right now if you go to Change.org ; you will see a petition that states,
“Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment.
Kanye has been very outspoken on his views on music….he should listen to his own advice and pass his headline slot on to someone deserving!
Lets prevent this musical injustice now!”
That is some ether to make your soul burn slow. While this petition was a joke started by Neil Lonsdale, it has amassed 50,000 votes. This is not the first time the festival has come under controversy with a hip hop headliner. Ironically, in 2008 it was Mr. West’s partner in crime Jay-Z that was the first hip hop artist to ever headline the event. This drew the ire of the Oasis’ guitarist Noel Gallagher who said, “Glastonbury has the tradition of guitar music… I’m not having hip-hop at Glastonbury.”
Regardless of how many signatures this petition ends up receiving, Kanye is more than likely going to have a rant that will end all rants on this stage come June 27th. With an album due out later this year and Noel Gallagher’s younger brother, Liam the lead vocalist for Oasis, going on twitter to make this statement after the Grammy controversy.
Kanye West. Utter Shit. LG x

This will go down as a must see performance for possibly the wrong reasons. I do one raise Neil Lonsdale one better petition. The Throne versus Oasis in a tag team UFC match…book it.
