Jamie Foxx interviewed with Angie Martinez on Power 105.1 off of just two hours of sleep after working all night to put the finishing touches on his new album.
Jamie discussed a range of different topics during the interview including his upcoming album, the Bruce Jenner joke, being a mentor to Chris Brown, meeting Chris’ daughter, and the first time he met Diddy, Kanye West, and Drake. Foxx even admitted that he used to trail Diddy with a camera to some of Diddy’s parties and he talked about how he networked by throwing parties at his home in L.A.
The Academy Award and Grammy winner continued to drop gems throughout the interview as he discussed his relationship with Chris Brown. Foxx talked about he has known Chris Brown since he was 15 and says that he has consistently mentored Chris from an early point in his career.
“I’ve known him through the good, the bad, the indifferent and would always counsel him,” said Foxx. “He walks into my dressing room at Jimmy Kimmel and he’s got his baby with him and I say there you are Chris Brown.”
Jamie lightly touched on his Bruce Jenner joke at the iHeartRadio Awards saying that he decided not to speak about it because when it comes to comedy, nothing is off limits. Jamie throws shade at media for blowing things out of control; accusing them of finding a new way to sell stories.
Fans can look for Jamie’s new album “Hollywood” to drop on May 18.
