Vic Mensa has officially signed on with the Roc Nation roster! Joining the likes of J. Cole and Jay Electronica, the 21-year-old Chicago native is clearly on the rise. Ever since going solo in 2013 from the group Kids These Days, Mensa’s star has been on the rise. His acclaimed mixtape INNANETAPE brought even more eyes on him which helped Vic Mensa secure a spot on the cover of the 2014 XXL Freshmen class.
His biggest song so far has been 2014’s ‘Down On My Luck’, but that will all change soon as he has already collaborated with Kanye West twice. The first time was for Kanye’s single ‘Wolves’ off his new album So Help Me God. West returned the favor by hoping on Vic Mensa’s new song ‘U Mad’, which can now be purchased digitally on iTunes. Jay-Z even went to make the official announcement.
