We learned from his early mixtapes that GunPlay has been able to rap over anything, from a gritty RZA track to a trap MMG single. On his latest single “WUZHANINDOE,” Gunplay recruits DJ Mustard and YG for an added West Coast feel. GunPlay spits some tough rhymes on the bass-heavy beat, while YG follows with his own gritty verse.
“From the South to the West, make ’em bow to the best/Burned a bunch of money and I’m diggin’ up the rest/Got a snow bunny and I broke her for a check/One cent short and I’ma choke her on her neck/Drop bombs on your moms, fuck car alarms/Tats on my face, back, belly, neck, arms/Black bottle busser, can’t knock my hustle/Chopper on the dresser, get it poppin’ nigga wassup.” raps Gunplay.
Look out for Gunplay’s debut album “Livin’ Legend,” which will be released sometime this year.
