The Game has been working at a feverish pace to prepare his next album, The Documentary 2, for release. The album date is still set for October 9th and has a total of 19 songs. In an interview with at Hot 97 with Peter Rosenberg, The Game also reveled there is another disc that comes out a week after on October 17th.
Therefore, The Documentary 2 will compose of 38 songs in total. He said, “When you go on iTunes and you download The Documentary 2, it only shows disc one. No one knows. Everybody thinks that’s just it. Disc 1 comes out regular. Then you know what you gotta do on the 17th? You gotta go back and get disc 1 again, because disc 2 is in there.”
The Documentary 2 is an all-star line up featuring, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Drake, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Ice Cube, Dej Loaf and that is just the for the first album. It is a very smart move, and different, to release a double album in a week time. With 38 songs it would be very difficult to take in the music all at once, so this break allows for the real consumption of the album.
