From Compton to Washington D.C. is a trip Kendrick Lamar is about to make as he achieves a very rare feat in hip hop. On October 20th, with the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center K.Dot will be performing his acclaimed latest album To Pimp A Butterfly.
This one night only event is a big moment for Lamar. Last year the Kennedy Center the National Symphony performed with Nas to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Illmatic . This helps show not only the company Kendrick is in, but the high regard of his album.
The show is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EST and Kennedy Center members can purchase their tickets today, but for the public they will be available September 30th at 10 a.m. EST.
