Tupac Shakur will always live on, he is the most influential rapper of all-time. He always had a message in his music and interviews. The man who created the term ‘thug life’ and is a way of life that still exists, but a newly discovered letter that Shakur wrote in 1995 says death to thug life.
The letter is entitled “Is Thug Life Dead?” and is a five-page letter written while he was locked up for his sexual abuse conviction. Nina Bhadreshwar was the intended recipient of the letter, as she was a Death Row Records employee. It details Tupac’s desire to give up that lifestyle and for others to do so as well.
Some amazing quotes from the passage are, ” U must play the game, not let the game play u. A regular Playa plays women, a Boss Playa plays life. A Boss Playa is a thinker, a leader, a builder, a moneymaker, a souljah, a teacher and most of all, a Man!…I want all my homies 2 realize there is another level it takes heart and courage to stand alone face the demons and make change!”
This letter is up for sale for anyone looking to be inspired…it is just going to cost you $225,000 dollars. It is being sold by Moments in Time, which is a memorabilia site.
