    Marchitect, The Gold Alert

    <

div>Marchitect returns with a brutally honest collection of songs produced by DJ Mech titled The Gold Alert. After topping the iTunes chart with his Hip Hop duo The 49ersand composing the theme song to the hit Japanese anime Dangan RonpaMarchitect takes a new direction with his latest solo effort by delivering poignant lyrics with no filter. Songs such as “Rappers Sound Exactly Alike”,“Separated From My Medicine” and “Girl You’re Annoying”, push it to the limit creatively while maintaining an intentional directness. However, it’s the stand out track “Everybody’s On Their F* Phone” that takes the Gold Alert to the next level.

When asked how he came up with the concept Marchitect responded, “Where I’m from in Delaware if you become a danger to society because you’re separated from your medicine they put out a Gold Alert. I wanted to make an album with no filter, and free myself as an artist from the parts of Hip Hop that have become so formulaic. I figured in the current climate I’d be on the fine line between brilliance and insanity, and let the people decide.
