Ahead of the 58th annual National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (Grammy’s) awards that took place on Monday 15 February, Ciara joined King Digital Entertainment and record label Primary Wave, among several celebrity guests, to host a pre-Grammy party to launch Candy Crush Jelly Saga, the next installment in the Candy Crush game franchise.
Grammy Award winner Ciara rose to fame in 2004 with her debut album, Goodies, which spawned three hit singles, “Goodies”, “1,2 Step” and “Oh”, working alongside artists such as Lil John, R.Kelly, Ludacris and Missy Elliot. She has become known for her stage presence throughout the years, placing as much importance on dancing and choreography as she does on her vocals.
After the much heralded success of their previous Candy Crush games, King Digital Entertainment launched Candy Crush Jelly Saga, the next installment of the popular Candy Crush franchise, introducing new game modes, features and ‘Jelly Boss’ battles against the Jelly Queen.
The singer/dancer encouraged party-goers to master their own Jellylicious dance moves on a highly responsive interactive LED ‘jelly’ dance floor that tracks the movements of dancers and reacts in real time. A troop of professional dancers demonstrated the full capability of the dance floor and all-new competitive “Jelly Boss Mode” in the game with a specially choreographed Jellytastic dance-off to the beat of Bootylicious by Destiny’s Child.
