In the president’s most outspoken condemnation of republican nominee Donald Trump, President Obama stated that those who have endorsed Trump should not do so and that he was “woefully unprepared” to be commander-in-chief. He has asked Republican lawmakers to formally take back there endorsement of the loud-mouth candidate.
“And the fact that that has not yet happened, it makes these denunciations ring hollow. I don’t doubt their sincerity. I don’t doubt they’re outraged about some the statements Trump and his supporters have made about the Khan family but there has to come a point when you say, ‘somebody who makes those kind of statements does not have the judgement … to occupy the most powerful position in the world,” Obama added, before making an even stronger case against the clear and present danger of a Trump presidency.
President Obama made a very good argument as to why Republicans should not support Trump:
He spoke about the multiple gaffes Trump has on a daily and weekly basis. He also pointed out that the fact that Republicans are distancing themselves from the statements he makes should be obvious that they shouldn’t support his bid for presidency. He believes that Americans would be in a “clear and present” danger if Trump was to win the election.
