In a 2015 article, Noisey Music–one of the culture’s most notable media basis–named HD as a “Oakland Staple,” an accolade that is well deserved based upon his accomplishments thus far. HD sets fire to flame leading up to the debut of his nearing project, The O.N.E. – Originality Nothing Else,which is tentatively slated for release September 30.
The project his set to feature collaborations with Future’s Freebandz Gang, 1017 Bricksquad associate, Young Scooter, as well as Barefaced members, G-Dirty and Sippa. After having his career interrupted more than once with jail-time and being shot on two different occasions, HD has brought on a trusted new staff to manage his label.
Between 2013-2015, HD (and his label Bearfaced Ent) experienced what could be described as the wildest and most volatile ascension to the top of Youtube view charts and indie rap playlists. In a very short time HD became a go-to feature for most indie rappers in his home region the SF Bay Area. Now, with a clear head, a new vision and staff for Barefaced, HD is ready to put Oakland on his back, move forward with his brand, and take the world by storm.
