The world lost one of the best ever to do comedy today as Charlie Murphy lost his battle with leukemia in a New York hospital, he was 57. Charlie Murphy was also the older brother of the legendary Eddie Murphy as well. Charlie starred in many films and television shows such as CB4, The Player’s Club, The Boondocks & Black Jesus.
Murphy is best known for his stint on Chappelle’s Show where he helped write and co-starred. He brought the infamous ‘Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories’ to life based on his experiences with Rick James and Price which become pop culture lore.
Charlie Murphy will always be remembered for his contributions in comedy, he has brought a laugh to so many people and he will be missed. He is survived by his brother and three children.
