Actor Terry Crews has filed a police report with the Los Angeles police department against the talent agent that he accused of groping him. According to NBCNews.com the star came forward with his own experience of being assaulted by a Hollywood power player. In early October, Crews tweeted that a “high level” exec had grabbed his genitals at a party last year in full view of his wife, after which the individual just “grinned like a jerk.”

According to Variety.com the exec in question is Adam Venit, the head of the motion picture group at William Morris Endeavor. Representatives and spokespeople for the agency, Venit, and Crews declined to comment on the matter.

Sexual misconduct and harassment by high-powered people in the entertainment industry has been the topic of discussion lately. With Harvey Weinstein’s decade long history of sexual harassment, to Kevin Spacey’s new sexual assault allegations. It is very clear that the “sexual assault culture” of Hollywood has gone on so long that many have taken it as normal, especially if it can advance your career. But this new wave of breaking the silence on sexual assault in Hollywood is finally shedding light on several people who have used their power and position in negative ways. And allowing the victims the opportunity finally heal.

As for Mr. Terry Crews, why did Terry wait a month after announcing to the world via twitter that you were sexually assaulted? Was this the first time you had to deal with sexual harassment?   Was his career more important than him defending his manhood? Several years ago, our own Dennis Byron interviewed Crews on the red carpet at The United Negro College Fund Awards show and he had the following to say in the above video.
