A cell phone video leaked out on social media Saturday shows footage of Nassau County jail inmates assaulting a man who is allegedly identified as Nicki Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, 39.
Maraj is being held in the Nassau County jail on Long Island awaiting a sentencing hearing on Feb. 20. He facing a life sentence for raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter.
The Facebook user who posted the video identified the inmate being attacked as Maraj. The grainy video shows inmates punching and kicking a portly inmate who fights back desperately.
A male voice off-camera says, “They got him!”
Inmates who are convicted of sex crimes against children are usually held in solitary confinement for their own safety.
So far, there has been no word from Nicki’s camp.
