Kendrick Lamar’s Black Panther Soundtrack Debuts As Number One

    Black Panther Soundtrack No. 1

    The Black Panther Soundtrack is No.1 on the Billboard 200.  Within the first week, the album secured 138.9 million on-demand audio streams (93,000 SEA unit launch) and 52,000 traditional album sales. Making it the second soundtrack to secure a  No. 1 spot in 2018.

    With Kendrick Lamar at the lead, the Marvel blockbuster inspired soundtrack, garnered the biggest week for a soundtrack. Keeping up with its The Black Panther movie counterpart with a whopping 370.5 million dollars for a global debut.

    Other tracks from the album are climbing charts as well, “All the Stars” with SZA, sits at 31 on the charts. Pray for Me featuring The Weeknd debuted in the top 5 Hot Hip-Hop/R&B Songs chart.

    Kendrick explored the African sound to bringing ancestral flavor, with an impressive range of industry superstars and talented emerging artists. The album features a global assortment of artist that include; Kendrick Lamar, SZA, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Future, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chains, Saudi, Khalid, Swae Lee,  Vince Staples, Yugen Blarok, Jorja Smith, SOB X RBE, Ab-Soul, Anderson Paak, James Blake, Jay Rock,  James Blake, Zacari, Babes Wodumo, Mozzy, Sjava, and Reason.
