Within hours after departing the Met Gala in New York City recently, a fan seeking a Cardi B autograph met an unfortunate fate when some of Cardi B’s groupies security delivered a beating to a fan for simply asking for her autograph. Unfortunately for those delivering the beating, the police have a lead on who exactly the individuals were. With a little police work and common sense, cops were able to obtain photos of those responsible simply because their names were given by Cardi B’s future baby daddy Offset of the Migos rap group.
You might recall the rapper reported to New York City police that his $150k chain was stolen from a New York hotel room after he had checked out after attending the Met Gala and when investigators where gathering details, they asked him to name all the persons that were last seen in his room. Police then shared those names with other NYC cops who were investigating the assault on the autograph seeking fan, they were able to ID some of the people via their instagram pages.
While Offset might not be getting his chain back too soon, the police are a few steps closer to catching those responsible for the assault on the fan.
Talk about irony!
