A Georgia Superior judge has ruled that Bad Boy Entertainment rapper French Montana must folk over 2 million dollars because the rapper did business deals on the side while still being represented by music mogul Debra Antney. In 2013, Ms. Antney filed suit in a Georgia court because she had proof the rapper was booking shows and cutting other deals without her knowledge.
While the rapper was served with the lawsuit, he decided not to attend the hearings and as a result he lost the case by default.
In January 2018, Antney was able to receive a modified judgment in California with interest to the tune of $1,864,012.50 plus $135,140.91 in interest. The fact that French Montana is a resident of California, it would make collecting on the judgment much easier.
In an exclusive interview with Antney, she stated that she would have never filed suit had French Montana never decided to disparage her name on a local radio station. It was never about the money it was always about the respect.
Antney has maged the careers of Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj and a host of other celebrities. She can also be seen on the upcoming episodes of WETV’s Growing Up Hip Hop.
