It appears Georgia prosecutors are looking to pin rapper Clifford “TI” Harris with a few charges stemming from an arrest outside his home located in the gated exclusive community of Eagles Landing because of a misunderstanding by now terminated security guard Euwan James who the rapper accused of sleeping on the job before the police were called.

Harris was charged with simple assault, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct when he was arrested this past May.

We reached out to Mr. Harris’s attorney Steve Sadow for comment and he stated the  following:

The misdemeanor charges brought against T.I. are baseless, ill-founded and unjustified. T.I. never threatened or acted in a violent manner towards Euwan James, the security guard. Indeed, we understand the security guard was fired for the way he handled the situation with T.I. We had sincerely hoped that the Henry County Solicitor had better, more important, things to do to serve the Henry County community than prosecute an African-American over a verbal dispute during an encounter with a security guard who was asleep at his post and was unwilling to provide his name to T.I. so T.I. could report the guard’s misconduct to his employer.

Mr. Sadow represented T.I. in his 2007 federal weapons case where the rapper was given probation. It’s safe to say that Henry County will have a fight on their hands if they think T.I. is going to accept anything less than a dismissal of all charges.
