Swae Lee got more than he bargained for at his show in Dallas when he got hit in the face with a fan’s phone. There seems to be a new trend going around where fans throw their phones on stage in hopes of the artist using it for a selfie. This was the case at his show on the 26. Only the fan seemed to be a little overzealous with their throw, getting Swae right face, busting his lip.
Video surfaced on Twitter of Swae Lee getting pretty heated on stage. Even going so far as to call the fan out their name and threatening to sue. Slim Jxmmi, the other half of Rae Sremmurd, tried to calm the rapper, but that seemed to only ignite more rage. He screamed for the cameras to zoom in on his bloody face. The pair walked off and took some time to calm down before returning to the stage to finish their set.
Swae confirmed later that night he got stitches, and some “finding Neeemo bandages” and that the tour will continue. The next day he tweeted that he won’t be suing the fan, despite his rant on stage suggesting otherwise. He noted that he’ll be more careful in shows to come.
