Lloyd has finally stepped back onto the scene. After a long hiatus, he has released his 5th studio album “Tru.”
In the interview, we sit down with Lloyd and talk about how long it took to make the album and where the inspiration came from. He talks about “losing track of time” when he’s making music, and using his previous experiences, in music and otherwise, as learning curves.
The album features names like Sevyn Streeter, Lil’ Wayne, and Rick Ross. One of the tracks, “Infinity”, most notably features his son River.
In the interview, he confirms that he will be going on tour with this album. Stating that’s where he feels most comfortable, “on stage.”

This past week Lloyd held a private listening party for his new album at Boogalou. In attendance were some of Atlanta’s most notable influencers and celebrities, as well as some of Lloyds fans.
