A Fulton County grand jury has returned an indictment against California rapper Tyrone William Griffin Jr., known professionally as Ty Dolla $ign stemming from an arrest on September 5th in Atlanta. Cops alleged that they smelled marijuana coming from the sprinter van carrying the rapper along with his crew and decided to search the vehicle.
When police brought out canine drug sniffing dogs, they got a hit which led to the arrest of the rapper.
The charges were felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of THC, and misdemeanor possession of less than 1 ounce of weed. If convicted, Ty Dolla is facing up to 15 years in prison.
