Leolah Brown, the sister of singer Bobby Brown wasn’t having it when she heard what comedian Chris Rock said about deceased singer Whitney Houston who was also her sister-in-law and former manager.
Chris Rock posted a viral meme over the weekend which featured an unenthusiastic Houston with the riff, “Me sitting in a meeting that could’ve been an email.”
Rock took it a step further by adding a line that pokes fun of Houston’s drug addiction: “Hurry up I got crack to smoke.”
Both Bobby Brown and Leolah weren’t the least amused by his joke. Leolah suggested that Rock might want to take inventory of his past misdeeds with the following message:
“Chris Rock, if my memory serves me correctly, YOU were the crackhead in New Jack City. And although it was a movie, reality is, you looked far more real than any crackhead I’ve ever seen! Be it TV or on the streets! And I always wondered how you played your role so well!! On top of that!YOU did a thing that not even Whitney nor my brother Bobby ever did! They never played themselves like that! They had too much class. What a pathetic thing for you to do to people who have always shown you nothing but love, always respected you and would never do such a thing to you! Since you found humor in that.. how about I tell the world what YOU did in New York in that dressing room?Your wife or girlfriend would not like that will she? She also says, Did you forget, well I didn’t”!
Some things might just serve well to leave in the past Chris and Leolah.
