Rapper Saweetie released the music video for her single My Type over the 4th of July holiday weekend.The single comes from her album, ICY, which was released back in March. The song samples Petey Pablo’s beat from his hit 2004 song, Freek-a-Leek. My Type is also Saweetie’s most popular song on Spotify at the moment.Other hits from the rapper’s sophomore EP include ICY GRL and Tip Toes which features her boyfriend, rapper Quavo from the Migos group.The video, which is directed by Daps, also features singer Kehlani and rapper Kamaiyah, as she throws a party, dances on the basketball court and raps in front of drifting cars.Saweetie said of the video to Complex, “I had so much fun working on the creatives for this visual. I was inspired by my childhood and want the world to see how we have fun. Having Kehlani and Kamaiyah on set was crazy-three bad bosses from the Bay-y’all ain’t ready!”Later this month, Saweetie is expected to join artists such as Schoolboy Q, Ella Mai, and Taylor Bennett at Chicago’s ComplexCon.
