Rappers Cardi B and Offset recently celebrated their daughter Kulture’s birthday this past week and followed with an outlandish birthday celebration on Saturday, July 13.
The couple reportedly spent $400,000 on the party, which was themed around Kulture’s favorite show, Word Party, according to TMZ. During the party however, New York City suffered a massive power outage for quite some time causing the lights and music not work at times.
Despite the hardships, Cardi took to Instagram to talk about how fun the party was.
“It was so lit that I lost my motherf*cking nail,” Cardi said in the video. “Let me tell y’all something, y’all made it lit because the fact that I had got there, the lights went off in the party, it was like a whole hour with no lights, no music. But it was still lit! And then when we got the power…turned the music and some lights on, it got lit again. But with no air conditioner. So we was literally melting, but people were still dancing having fun…and then they cut the lights back on and nobody wanted to leave. And it’s ’cause of y’all and it was such a fun party. Thank you so much.”
There were a lot of desserts including two multi-tiered birthday cakes, as well as a Build-A-Bear workshop, rainbow balloons and various floral arrangements, according to TMZ.
Cardi’s family which included her sister, Hennessy, her parents and grandparents were all in attendance for the party. The 1-year-old received many gifts, one of which included a $100,000 diamond necklace from her parents and featured characters from the TV show Word Party.
