Pictures of Nicole Murphy recently surfaced of her kissing married director Antoine Fuqua, for which she has since apologized. However, actress LisaRaye McCoy recently stated that Murphy has a history of messing with married men.
On Saturday, July 20, Murphy and Fuqua were caught kissing at a hotel pool in Italy. Murphy, 51, was previously married to Eddie Murphy from 1993 to 2006, and the two share five children together. Fuqua, 53, has been married to actress Lela Rochon since 1999 and the pair has two children together in addition to Fuqua’s son from a previous relationship.
According to People, Murphy made a statement saying, “Antoine and I friends. We ran into each other while we both were in Europe. Without going into the entire situation, I want to apologize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired.”
She continued, “It was not my intention to be in this situation. I do not condone women kissing or interacting in anyway inappropriately with a married man.”
McCoy recently came out stating that she believes Murphy’s apology is fake, as she claims Murphy previously had an affair with her husband. McCoy was married to Turks and Caicos politician, Michael Misick, from 2006 to 2008. During that time rumors surfaced of Murphy and Misick’s alleged infidelity, and McCoy claims that the rumors were true. McCoy said Murphy knew that Fuqua was still married and betrayed Rochon’s trust, according to TMZ.
McCoy even went so far as to comment on an article about Murphy and Fuqua, stating “Gurl @nikimurphy you went after @iamlelarochon husband too?…smh So wrong….again!!!” Murphy has yet to respond to these comments.
