Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is set to testify soon in open court against his alleged kidnappers, despite possible retaliation against him and his family from gang members.

The 23-year-old is currently behind bars on federal racketeering charges, and is expected to testify next month about the kidnapping and assault he claims he was a victim of in 2018.

Cops arrested a suspect in the case, whose name is Anthony Ellison, however he pled not guilty and is claiming that Tekashi made the whole thing up. Ellison was a former member of Tekashi’s management team, and police also believe that he is affiliated with the Nine Trey Bloods. This is the same gang which Tekashi was involved in prior to his arrest.

While the consequences of testifying may be brutal, Tekashi is still preparing to expose Ellison and potentially a few others. According to TMZ, the rapper is very worried about how this will affect his family, specifically his mother and brother as well as what will happen to him behind bars. He has already spent thousands of dollars on security to protect his mom, however he still feels there will be nowhere to hide if the Nine Trey Bloods want to get revenge on him for snitching.

Tekashi is required to work with police, so it seem as though his hands are tied when it comes to him testifying. His last hope would be for Ellison and prosecutors to strike an 11th-hour deal.

Tekashi’s lawyer, Dawn Florio, has reportedly said “no comment” when asked about the situation.
