Hip Hop Enquirer’s Dennis Byron sat down with Washington, DC native Tylan to discuss his latest songs Summer Love and Twist and how it was it like working with artists like Soulja Boy and rapper Wale was also is from his hometown. In this exclusive interview he also talks about his feelings on the recent arrest of rapper Young Thug and Gunna and how much of a musical influence they had on him. In light of the recent Verzez battle where some of the artists gave a less than stellar performance, current r n b music is under attack. For this reason we wanted to make sure this young man was the real deal so we asked him to give us a sample of him singing live and of course he did not disappoint.
Tylan is only 19 years old, he has been very methodical and intentional about the music he puts into the atmosphere. He is eager to learn how to elevate his craft and wants tocollaborate with musicians that not only share his passion but that he can learn from. Unlike many artists who struggle to findtheir identity, Tylan possesses an innate sense of self and purpose through his music. His eclectic and diverse combination of musical influences has undoubtedly molded him into the performing artist he is today. He gives credit to musical geniuses such as Michael Jackson, Usher, Boys 2 Men, and Chris Brown. He admits that old-school music has played a significant role in defining his sound.
