Russell Simmons Signs New Deal With HBO
Russell Simmons and HBO are back in business again as the Hip-Hop Mogul and founder of Def Jam just signed a 2-year first look deal with the cable network.
Under the agreement, Russell Simmons will create and develop projects for HBO. .
Uncle Russ first went into business with HBO when he launched Def Comedy Jam. The show was responsible for bringing light to many talented African-American comedians helping them become house hold names including Martin Lawrence, Steve Harvey and Bernie Mac.
Def Comedy Mam ran from 1992-1997 and 2006-2008.
