In an interview that was supposed to be off the record might have cost Atlanta rapper Future a whopping 1.5 million dollars as he and rapper Drake have severed musical ties as it relates to their upcoming scheduled tour.
During a listening session for Future’s upcoming album entitled Honest, the rapper was very candid with Billboard’s associate editor Erika Ramirez when talking about what he thought of Drake’s Nothing Was the Same album.
His honesty might have cost him more than he expected because Drake allegedly hit the roof when he heard Future dissed his album. Future was quoted as saying to the editor; “Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you.”
Once Drake got wind of what the rapper said, he wanted no part of him or his participation on his tour.
Because of contractual agreements, Future has already decided to file a lawsuit in response to his removal off the tour.
Should the rapper be upset that his “off the record” comment was published by the magazine?
Looks like nothing will ever be the same between these two if you ask us.
