rza and raekwonIt looks like Voltron is having some issues trying to reassemble as money seems to be at the heart of the new Wu-Tang album hold up. Over the past few months, various members have revealed that the project A Better Tommorrow is in the works but Raekwon The Chef has been missing from the kitchen.

Raekwon checked in with The Breakfast Club and shared his side of the story about his absence.

“All I can say is it’s business. First of all it’s the mother ship and I would never ever violate that but at the same time, it’s 20 years later and business has to be done correctly.”

Rae also revealed that there was a lack of communication and respect as men.

From this interview, you get the feeling that Rae knows his worth and has learned the business side as well since The Wu debuted 20 years ago with Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and the days of RZA being the head shot caller is over.

Raekwon also shares his thoughts on his partner in rhyme, Ghostface, appearing on the reality television show “Couples Therapy” as well as his new solo project.

Hopefully The Wu can work things out because with The Chef missing, the recipe just won’t be complete.

    Peep the interview now.
