After dropping the 14-track “Think Like A Man Too” soundtrack, Mary J. Blige gives us the music video for “Suitcase”, which was one of the first singles she released from the soundtrack. The soundtrack for the all-star cast romantic comedy film, in theatres now, was released this Tuesday, June 17th and is available for purchase and download, courtesy of Epic Records. The soundtrack is all about Mary, all her voice, all her; this makes her twelfth studio album.
The music video features Christian Keyes, African-American actor most notable for his role in Tyler Perry’s play Madea Goes To Jail, who plays the love interest of Mary. Mary J. Blige and is a mentally insane patient who is studied constantly under surveillance by the doctors. Though the song is centered around hurt, deceit, and leaving, the upbeat tone works with it, as opposed to against it, making it a must-listen for all fans of R&B.
