California born but raised on the east side of Atlanta, Childish Gambino titles his new song “Candler Road.” For those not familiar with the street it is located in Decatur, GA where Gambino spend most of his teens years.
Produced by Tim Suby, he approaches the track aggressively then switches up slightly to a more melodic sound. In his beginning verse he talks about his city coming for the rap game. Just as Gambino, many artists from the urban area are hoping to pursue a successful rap career and Atlanta is fit for he hip-hop music scene.
Gambino previously released a freestyle track titled “Gambino is a white rapper” in honor of the late Mike Brown. Does these new releases mean that we are expecting a new album?
