NYPD detective, Lukasz Skorzewski, has been moved away from the Manhattan Special Victims Division after he flew to Seattle, drank all night with a 24-year-old woman whose rape case he was investigating, and them allegedly sexually assaulting her in his hotel room.

Skorzewski, 31, and his boss, Lt. Adam Lamboy, 44, met with the young woman who was involved in a rape case on Jan. 13, 2013 in a Union Square apartment. The incident happened last July when Skorzewski and Lamboy flew out to Seattle to interview the young woman. The two officers interview her on July 5 but she contacted them the next day with questions. The officers met with her the next day at three pm and convinced her to go on a nine-hour drinking spree with them and another woman.

At approximately 12:30 AM she realized that she had left her car someplace else and the men offered to let her stay the night at their hotel room. After arriving at the hotel she sat outside because she wasn’t feeling well and Skorzewski sat with her. She said that the officer called her “his favorite victim” and after a short while, she said they went up to Skorzewski’s room where she said he took care of her making sure that she was OK and even letting her have his bed while he slept on a couch in the room.

In the morning, Skorzewski asked if he could lie down and put his arm around her before asking for a kiss. She seem outraged at the question thinking that the officer was married with two kids and that he was here investigating her rape case. She replied no but the two started getting physical with each other anyway.

She told him the same thing that she told the man who raped her, “I need to keep my clothes on,” but officer Skorzewski repeatedly tried to get his hands in her pants.

“He really felt me up, tried to get his hands down my pants,” she told The News. “He was trying to put his hands down my pants or work them up my shorts,” she said.

After she ended it she got into the shower and Skorzewski returned to Manhattan. They kept in contact via phone but the officer eventually stopped calling her. The woman reported the incident with the officer by writing a letter to a friend in the department.

NYPD Chief, Kim Royster, said that Internal Affairs Bureau is investigating into the matter. This is the latest scandal involving the NYPD after officers choked Eric Garner used an illegal police technique inciting a series of protest against militaristic police brutality and the senseless loss African-American lives due to the recklessness of police.

Since the incident took place, Skorzewski was not fired but has been demoted to a patrol officer and transported to a different division. Lamboy has also been transferred to a different division after an investigation showed that he was using overtime that he had not earned (doesn’t that sound like a form of stealing from the taxpayers?).

“He should have been fired,” a police source familiar with the case said.

How about he should have been arrested!!
