During the three-day custody trial involving actor/rapper Ludacris, Tamika Fuller’s attorney Lisa West decided to question him about the context of his rap lyrics on one of his recent tracks and how that may impact his 13-month daughter Cai Bella. Luda explained during his cross-examination by West that his lyrics were just a form of entertainment and that he would never allow his kids to listen to the “cussing” part until they were old enough. The shocking part of her questioning was when she asked him about his lyrics in the song “Dancin Dirty” and whether or not it he was referring to “date raping?” Check out how Ludacris responded to that line of questioning.

Attorney West asked:

“Would you like for Cai to have this experience with a young man?” said West, referring to Luda’s 13-month-old daughter, Cai Bella Bridges.

“When Cai becomes an adult, and she wants to have a good time, then that’s her right as an adult,” said Ludacris.

It should be noted that Ludacris testified that he has also recorded educational songs for his daughter Karma which is posted on her educational website Karma’s World. Can someone say Super Dad? Luda!

Was hip hop really on trial as well? Personally we really love the song!
