Damon Wayans was on The Breakfast Club recently and as a comedian, especially a prominent black comedian, many people wanted to know how he felt and thought about the Bill Cosby situation. Wayans came to Cosby’s defense seemingly as some things just did not make sense to him.
“I don’t believe he was raping. I think he was in relationships with all of them.” Wayans jokingly said after he broke it off with them, “They’re like, ‘Oh, really? RAPE.’”
His skepticism continues as he can’t understand how it happened on multiple occasions. Also saying that women, especially in that era, are going to come to you. Damon says, “If you listen to them talk, they go, ‘Well, the first time.’ The first time?! Bitch, how many times did it happen? Just listen to what they’re saying…Some of them, really, is un-rape-able. I look at them and go, ‘No, he don’t want that. Get outta here!’”
He did make a sincere statement at the end, possibly knowing there would be some offended by the content of jokes. But he still held his stance that it all does not seem right.
“For anybody who was raped by Bill Cosby, I’m sorry, and I hope you get justice.”
