Stopping by Ebro In The Morning, T.I. came and talked on a variety topics. From the new music he has coming out to another season of Family Hustle. Early in the interview T.I. reveals that his relationship with Iggy Azalea has gone south.
When asked why he has parted ways from Iggy, someone he had been defending and help mentor, T.I. said the following:
After the Q-Tip thing… After I kind of had smoothed it over, like okay, ‘What is really meant to be said here is…’ After it was cool, everything was cool, and then they kind of came back and undid what I had just [accomplished],” he said. “I’ma be all the way real, I’m a loyal partner. If I rock with you I’m gon’ rock with you…I really do feel that they [Iggy’s team] just needed a little more time to adjust, which I feel they [Iggy’s team] can do. They have the talent, they have the charisma.
Q-Tip had went on Twitter and gave Iggy a lesson on hip hop that she seemingly needed but she only made it worst when she responded that she found it ‘patronizing’.
T.I. still seems to care about her career and there are no bad feelings it appears. He stated, “In her defense, she had a lot thrown at her at one time. Any human being anywhere gon’ have a hard time adjusting…Some stuff they brought upon themselves. In some cases it kind of was just the easiest place to put some pent-up aggression.”
It may all be for the best, as T.I. gears up for his tenth studio album he has to focus on the music. Iggy Azalea has not been in the best place in her career since the Q-Tip conversation, so maybe she finally starts to take in the advice T.I. had been giving her all this time.
