Rick Ross is being sued by a woman who is claiming she was raped during Grammy weekend. The slight twist is Rick Ross is not named as the suspect but rather one of his associates. According to TMZ, the woman says she was in the W hotel while out in Los Angeles where she met up with Rick Ross and his company and Ross invited her to a weed convention called Cannibus Cup.

She got in the van with Ross, a DJ, three security guards, the driver and Thaddeus ‘Black’ James, who she names as the suspect in the lawsuit. She claims to have been offered a drink which led to her becoming dizzy and passing out. Her next recollection occurs two hours later where she wakes up to see she is still in the van with James.

The woman then says she went back to Black’s hotel room and passed out yet again. Waking up at 8 a.m. she examined herself to see her clothes had been removed and that a sexual assault had occurred. While she believes Black raped her and names him as the rapist in the lawsuit, Ross is still being sued as Black is Ross’ agent, he should have been watching over him and that it was his van that the incident is believed to have taken place.

TMZ reached out to Rick Ross and he made the following statement.

It has been brought to my attention that serious allegations have been made against an independent contractor, who’s services I use often. And while I am not directly involved or implicated, as a man and a father, I take this very seriously. I don’t believe any woman’s safety should be compromised and she should never be forced to do anything outside of her will, regardless of the circumstances…While I personally have no knowledge of the specifics surrounding these allegations, it is my hope that this is rectified quickly and with sensitivity.
