James Scott, who holds the founder/CEO spot for the Global Mixed Gender Basketball (GMGB) League announced today that the Cash Money Records co-founder will now be apart of the team. He is now a celebrity owner of the League’s New Orleans Cash Money franchise. The team is called the Cash Money Millionaires and is currently seeking out the best male and female basketball players in New Orleans that are 18 years old and up. The news of Birdman’s team came shortly after the announcement of Tameka Harris, otherwise known as “Tiny” and wife of Clifford “T.I” Harris, had acquired GMGB’s Atlanta franchise which is called the Atlanta Heirs. The news of this was recently featured on the season finale of VH1 reality series “T.I. And Tiny: The Family Hustle” as she is the first female coed basketball team owner.

The Global Mixed Gender Basketball League has been developing since 2013 and is becoming renowned in the world of sports for its inclusion and diversity. It celebrates the parternship of both men and woman that has inspired the younger generations for its cooperative values.

Founder Scott says, “Men and women are together at last with the formation of this league. It should have been that way a long time ago, but we are pleased to bring a different type of game to the competitive sport of basketball.” With celebrity team ownership, the GMGB League has many different well known personalities that own franchises in major cities such as Miami, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and many more to come next year!
