Beef. In the older days of Hip Hop it was a pretty serious issue. In the modern Hip Hop world it has been belittled to “sneak dissing” and undertone name dropping. As of recently, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z are the latest to get involved in somewhat of an issue.  The first lyrical shot was taken by Jay on “H.A.M.” way back in January when he released the first single off Watch The Throne.

N-ggas fantasize about the sht that I do daily like/ These rappers rap about all the sh*t that I do really /I’m like really half a billi n-gga /Really you got BABY money /Keep it real with n-ggas / N-ggas aint got my lady money.

It has been widely believed that Jay started the beef but it was actually Baby aka Birdman when the Cash Money Records CEO was quoted saying he as well as Lil Wayne have more money than Jay. In response to Jay’s jabs on “H.A.M.” Lil Wayne had some words for Jay on “It’s Good” off of the Carter 4 which leaked online earlier this week prior to its release stated for August 29.

“Talk about Baby money?/ I got your baby money/  Kidnap your b***h  get that how much you love your lady money!”

A little bit over the edge? That’s for you to decide. Though the shot at Beyonce was relevant to Jay’s claim that Baby does not have the funds Jay’s lady has. With that said, Wayne suggests kidnapping Beyonce is a legit move. This dispute is coming from left field and is somewhat a head scratcher though it is just as entertaining. Where will it go from here?
