Bobby Ray is making his way into the world of fashion as he signs on to be the new face of T.I.’s AKOO clothing brand by joining their Ambassador Program. The Grammy-nominated artist will be featured in the line’s upcoming fall 2011 national ad campaign with NY Yankees’ Curtis Granderson, Boston Red Sox’s Carl Crawford and Hosea Chanchez of BET’s “The Game”.
“There is something intriguing about a star like B.o.B. He represents a growing group of artists whose natural talent transcends the typical rapper stereotype and urban format. He defines himself on his own terms by effortlessly blending elements from the street, pop culture, his life experiences and cultural perspective,” says AKOO Marketing Director, Jeff Belizaire. “He creates timeless and relevant music that connects with a broad range of people. Similarly, AKOO Clothing creates contemporary and relevant fashion for all types of guys.”
The 22-year-old, who has revolutionized the music industry producing the number-one hit singles “Nothin’ On You” and “Magic”, connects with hometown icon and label mate, T.I.
“I’m looking forward to working with Tip and AKOO Clothing on more projects this year,” states B.o.B. “We want to continue to add new-ness to American music as well as push the envelope in the contemporary men’s fashion landscape.”
AKOO, which stands for A King Of Oneself, is a men’s contemporary clothing line that was founded by rapper/actor, T.I., and his business partner and Grand Hustle Entertainment CEO, Jason Geter.
