It appears that one of the men who A$AP Rocky is accused of attacking in Sweden was convicted of criminal assault three years ago.

The man, Mustafa Jafari, can be seen provoking Rocky and his crew in the infamous video before Rocky attacked. The Praise The Lord rapper has since been charged with Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm and is awaiting trial to see how long he will be held in prison. He is looking at up to two years. Jafari will not be charged with anything in the case, as prosecutors believe he hit Rocky’s bodyguard in the head with a pair of headphones as an act of self-defense.

Back in 2016, when Jafari was just 16-years-old, he was convicted of striking a man in the forehead as well as causing other damage to the victim’s face, according to TMZ. It happened on the streets of Stockholm, which is the exact place Jafari harassed Rocky and his crew earlier this month. He was later sentenced to 30 hours of community service, as well as required to pay his victim about $500 in cash.

Additional charges include Jafari’s two minor drug offenses back in 2017 and 2018, according to TMZ. He was convicted and ordered to pay a fine for both offenses, but did not serve any jail time. It is unclear whether or not the other man who was reportedly stalking Rocky and his crew will be charged with anything in the case.

Prosecutors state that Rocky’s trial will be held within the next two weeks, and that it will likely last three days.
