Trey Songz and his mother, April Tucker, were on stage to accept his first ever BET Awards for Best Male R & B artist. Some in the audience was a little surprised how close he is to his mother but congrats to Trey Songz for winning the honor. By the way, you really did jack up the Purple Rain and I don’t think Prince was pleased. Check out what Mr. Kitchentalk had to say about the overall show…pretty hilarious if you ask us.

Hip Hop Enquirer was in the building to cover this years dinner celebration at Mr. Chows restaurant with our own Kash Howard & Dennis Byron who conducted interviews on the red carpet and then headed inside to mingle with some of today’s biggest names in music and television.

The highly anticipated tribute for Michael Jackson by Chris Brown was by far the best performance of the night. There were many who counted him out of the music game but last night’s performances just reinforced the fact that this young artist has a long successful career ahead of him.  Check out his performance below.
